Our epic trip to Chicago was epic and filled with ups and downs. From my first trip on the El to the rat hole that they call the Amber Hotel we stayed in (I slept with a knife under my pillow and refused to use the soap). We did end up having a few drinks and some delicious pie which was a perfect way to end the night. The following day we trekked all of at least 6-7 miles walking around chicago. I am pretty sure it was the hottest day on the face of the planet. We started around Trader Joes and ended up by Millennium Park and the Navy Pier. It was epic at the least.
